Tokyo Auto Salon 2005 Tour Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 - North America

January 11 (Tuesday) - Depart N. America on the services of Japan Airlines in economy class. We will cross the International dateline and arrive in Tokyo 1 day ahead.

Day 2 - Tokyo Arrival

January 12 (Wednesday) - Upon arrival at the Tokyo International Airport - Terminal 2, everyone will clear the customs and immigration formalities and the group will meet outside the first exit doors B. Once everyone arrives, the group will all transfer to Crowne Plaza Hotel in the district of Ikebukuro. Hotel check in will follow and after freshening up the group will meet at the lobby prior to the eveningˇ¦s plans for dinner  (something light and on your own expense) and any extra curricular activities for those who arenˇ¦t tired.



Day 3 - Tokyo Sightseeing

January 13 (Thursday) - Buffet  breakfast is included at the hotel and everyone will meet at the lobby  by 09:00am to board our sightseeing bus tour of Tokyo.

Places we will visit:

  1. Tokyo Tower
  2. Meiji Shrine
  3. Asakusa Guest House  
  4. National Diet Building
  5. Imperial Palace East Garden
  6. Ginza Shopping District ˇKwhere the tour disbands
  7. We can continue onwards to Autobacs or the electric city of Akihabara

       (subway on your own expense)

  1. Evening we will go to hit some clubs & bars at Roppongi (late returns will be via taxi on your own)


Day 4 - Auto Salon

January 14 (Friday) - After the usual breakfast, we will meet at the lobby by 09:00 and leave to the Auto Salon via tour bus. The bus will also be provided for the return trip back to the Crowne Plaza Hotel. This evening we will explore other parts of Tokyo such as Shibuya, Shinjuku or back to Roppongi for others to check out the clubs once again. Train or taxi to the hotel on your own.

Day 5 - Shopping

January 15 (Saturday) - After breakfast, it is an open day for others to once again to visit the Tokyo Auto Salon or for interested people to go and check out some manufacturer showrooms or we can spend a day visiting Kamakura to see the great Buddha. We will not be providing any subway pass today and transportation expenses will be on your own.

Day 6 - Tokyo Departure

January 16 (Sunday) - Last day in Japan, people can do their last minute shopping or sightseeing before going to the airport on their own. Airport limousine bus will pick up at hotel lobby (at your own expense).

Arrive back in N. America  without losing a day.
